The first Friday card of the Fall Meet at Meadowlands Racing &
Entertainment shapes up as a horseplayers delight. A bounty of
entries for the overnight classes resulted in a thirteen race card with all but
two of the races filling to the ten horse maximum.
The Friday night feature is race eleven, the highest class
overnight trot of the week as seven square-gaiters face off in a pari-mutuel
puzzler. Up Front Billy has the look of a top contender in this one for
trainer Mark Ford, who owns the near half million dollar winning son of Andover
Hall with Up Front Racing. Tim Tetrick has the drive.
The guaranteed pools for Friday are the $25,000G Pick 5 that
kicks off the card, the early Pick 4 (races 3 - 6 at $30,000G) and late Pick 4
(races 7 - 10 at $50,000G) along with plenty of Pick 3's and dime superfectas.
On the promotional front, the lead is the 'Black
Friday Gift Card Sweepstakes' with $2,500 in giveaway and that Friday fan
favotite 'Beat The
Boss'.
