Tuesday, December 20, 2016—With Opening Day 19 afternoons away, Yonkers Raceway
has thrown down the gauntlet with oversized purses. The 2017 seasons
begins—pending approval from the New York State Gaming Commission—with a
‘French’ Sunday, Jan. 8th (post time TBA).
To offer
appreciation to the rank and file, the first-day purse structure is highlighted
by a $75,000 Open Handicap Trot (1¼ miles) and a $60,000 Open Handicap Pace
(flat mile).

condition sheet.
