ANGELS RANSOM REAPS GREEN ACRES REWARDS

FREEHOLD, NJ – October 23, 2014 – Angels Ransom, the runner up in his last three starts, got up at the wire for a neck victory in the $7,000 third leg of the New Jersey Sire Stakes – Green Acres for three-year-old trotting colts and geldings on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Freehold Raceway.

Angels Ransom, a gelded son of Revenue, trotted the mile in 1:59.1 on a track rated good.  He edged out a pair of Chocolatier offspring, Choco Sun, who was second and Holiday Spirit, who was a half-length back in third.

Angels Ransom, driven by Chase Vandervort and trained by Roland Mallar, races for owner-breeder Michael D. Andrew of Gorham, ME.  This year, the trotter has four wins, three seconds and two thirds in 15 starts.  Lifetime, he has finished in-the-money in 14 of 25 starts.  Career earnings are $58,260.

The $25,000 divisional final is on October 30 at Freehold.
