Driver Jimmy Whittemore wasted no time Thursday night
capturing three of the first four races and in doing so notched career win
1,000.
In Race 1 Whittemore guided Love You Bye to a last to first
victory in 1:52:2. The 5 year old McArdle-Cam’s Genious mare is owned by Jimmy
Whittemore and trained by his father Dennis Whittemore. Love You Bye is closing
in on $200,000 in career earnings.
Race 3 saw Campbell Muscles (Muscles Yankee-Millennium Chip)
score her first career win and give Jimmy a driving double and career win 999.
Campbell Muscles scored by 3 ¼ lengths in 2:00 for owner-trainer Scott West.
Misty Major went wire to wire in Race 4 to give Jimmy Whittemore his 1,000th career driving win.
Misty Major (Major In Art-Lady Artemise) tied her career mark 1:54:3 and is
conditioned by Angus Mac Donald and owned by E J Treadway.
Jimmy Whittemore, a native of Norway, Maine is a three time
driving champion at the Miracle Mile and currently sits fourth in the Vernon
Downs driver’s standings.
