East Rutherford, NJ---Nomination payments for stakes
and early closers for the 2014 season at The Meadowlands
Racetrack come due on February 15. The 38th edition of the $750,000e
Meadowlands Pace, signature Grand Circuit stake at the track, offers a reduction
in the nominating and sustaining payments for 2014 of nearly 20 percent
compared with the 2013 levels. The price to nominate has been slashed in half,
from $1,000 to $500. New for 2014 is a tiered declaration fee, dropping the
cost of entry in the elimination races from the single declaration fee of
$6,000 to $2,500 for the elimination and then $5,000 to go in the final (if
eliminations are not needed, the cost to race in the final will be $7,500).
Also due are the
initial installments for all Meadowlands administrated/hosted stakes including
the second edition of the TVG FFA Trotting & Pacing Championship.
