When racing returns to
The Meadowlands Thursday, the 10-race program will feature a Pick 5 Carryover
of $18,083. Typically a carryover of this size leads to a pool of roughly
$100,000. With just a 15-percent takeout rate for the Pick 5 wager, the carryover
will in effect, nullify the takeout. The Pick 5 covers races one through
five (1-5) on the program. Also on the card are the $30,000 Guaranteed
Early Pick 4 (races 3-6) and the $50,000 Guaranteed Late Pick 4 (races 7-10).
