YONKERS,
NY, Tuesday, July 16, 2013--The lure of a $10,000 guaranteed pool was offset by
some confounding results.
As a result--and after the final leg winner paid $78.50--no one took down
Yonkers Raceway's Pick 5 Tuesday night. This provides a fair amount of free
money going into Thursday's quintet.
A total of $7,498.64 is to be added to the pot for the base $.50 Pick 5, which
encompasses races 5 through 9 every racing night. The wager has no consolation
payoff. Hence, the sizable stipend going into Thursday.
The
Raceway's five-night-per-week live schedule continues, with first post every
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:10 PM. Evening simulcasting
accompanies all live programs, with afternoon simulcasting available around the
NYRA schedule (note that Saratoga opens Friday).
