Lon - Burke Pupils Sweep Forest City Eliminations

London, November 9, 2012 -- Trainer Ron Burke swept both $15,000 Forest City Pace eliminations for older pacing mares during Friday night action at The Raceway at The Western Fair District.

In the first elimination, Scott Zeron got Rocklamation away second from the starting gate from post two and sent her to the front just as the field passed the opening eighth. Once on top, the pair rolled through fractions of :27, :56.3 and 1:24.4 and never let anyone close to them the entire mile.

Rocklamation cruised home with a :28.3 final quarter to stop the clock in 1:53.2, equalling the track record established by Sentbytheangels back in 2006. Ticket To Rock shook loose late to pick up second over Modern Cinderella with Tea Party Princess landing the final qualifying position.

The four-year-old daughter of Rocknroll Hanover – Art Sale returned $3.40 for the win as she picked up her seventh win of the season for trainer Ron Burke and owners Our Cents Stable, Stable 45 and Jerry Silva. The winner’s share boosted her career bankroll to more than $1,080,000.

In the opening split, Camille returned to familiar surroundings and worked out a beautiful second-over trip in the field of six for driver Brett Miller.

The pair watched as Monkey On My Wheel and Voelz Hanover exchanged leads through a blistering first quarter of :26.2. With Voelz Hanover on top, Misty Moonstone came first-over to challenge through a half in :55.1.

The leaders battled through three-quarters in 1:24 with Camille sitting fourth on the outside and less than two lengths from the front. When Miller asked his charge for speed, she responded with a huge three-wide move to take the lead and draw clear at the end in a track-record clocking of 1:52.4.

Ginger and Fred rallied from last to pick up the place spot with Waasmula landing third position and Misty Moonstone hanging on for fourth – earning herself a spot in the final.

The victory was the 11th of the season for the daughter of Camluck – Art Of Design who returned $3.80 as the bettor’s choice. Camille is co-owned by Burke Racing, Weaver Bruscemi, M1 Stable and Jack Piatt.
