Buffalo Raceway has cancelled its opening
race day program for Wednesday, January 30, 2019. “It was just too difficult of
a task with the weather conditions the past week in the Buffalo area, and it is
forecasted to be bitterly cold on the scheduled opening night” said COO James
Mango. “Despite an overall anxiousness for the 2019 meet to begin,
trainers were delayed in shipping into the stable area, and could not train
their horses at the farms. We will look forward to a great opening on
Saturday, February 2.”
In order to assist the horsemen, Buffalo
Raceway will conduct qualifying races on Tuesday, January 29 at 1 p.m. allowing
those horses to be eligible to race on opening night, Saturday February 2.
