Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment will host two nights of qualifying races
prior to the grand opening of its new facility. Those dates will be
Thursday November 14th and Thursday November 21st. Post time for the November 14th qualifiers will be 7:15 P.M., while the November 21st qualifiers will begin at 6:00 P.M.
These qualifiers will be the first races being raced out of the new
facility. The box for both qualifiers closes Wednesday of the respective
week at 10:00 A.M.
In addition to the qualifying races, these dates will be used as a “dry-run” as
The Meadowlands prepares for its grand opening on Saturday November 23rd. Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment General
Manager/C.E.O. Jason Settlemoir believes this is a vital part of the process of
opening a new facility. “We have done this at all our other properties,
Tioga, Vernon and Winners which hosted a press conference for The Meadowlands
Pace,” said Settlemoir. “We owe it to our customers to make sure that
everything is flawless when we open the doors to the public and this will help
accomplish that goal.” Both nights will include an announcer calling the
races.
Thursday night November 21st will be a night for owners, trainers and
drivers to get a preview of the new facility and will be able to watch the
qualifying races while enjoying a complimentary dinner in Meadowlands Racing
& Entertainment’s new tiered restaurant, “Pink.” The event will be
limited to 250 people with details to follow.
