MANALAPAN,
NJ – September 2, 2013 – On a rainy Labor Day, My Tallia Ideal and Rockaholic
won first leg divisions of the New Jersey Sire Stakes – Green Acres on September
2, 2013 at Freehold Raceway.
My
Tallia Ideal by Western Ideal won the third race, the $7,000 division for
three-year-old pacing fillies, with a 1:57 mile on an off track.
Daniel
Dube handled the Scott Di Domenico trainee who was a half-length winner over
Light Of Day [Rocknroll Hanover]. It was a length and a half to Get The
Look [Cam’s Card Shark] in third.
My
Tallia Ideal [$2.80], unraced at two, picked up her fifth win and has now
finished in-the-money in eight of 12 starts. She races for Quebec owners
Gestion Mario Audet Inc. and Yves Sarrazin.
Rockaholic
[$16.60] picked up his first win of the year in his 16th start, the
$7,000 division for three-year-old pacing colts and gelding, carded as the
eighth race.
The
son of Rocknroll Hanover, driven by Eric Abbatiello and trained by Yogi
Sheridan, paced the mile in a career best 1:54.1.
It
was a length and a quarter to Always There by Western Ideal in second and two
lengths to Nick Fotiu by Cam’s Card Shark in third.
Rockaholic
improved his career record to four wins, four seconds and four thirds from 28
attempts and has earned nearly $50,000 for Joseph Zicchino of Point Pleasant,
NJ.
