Pink Restaurant Opens for Season with Elevated Cocktails and Buffet

Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment’s Pink Restaurant is getting a fall refresh when it re-opens for live racing starting Friday, October 11th

Every Friday and Saturday night buffet will feature a carving station enhancing the already wide variety of salads, pastas and main dishes, all of which are made from locally sourced produce.  In addition, the Friday buffets will be highlighted by a specialty theme station which kicks off with the “Italian Corner” on opening night.  The Italian selections include Chef Dennis Sammarone’s homemade meatballs, Italian sausage and braciole along with fresh garlic bread.

The remaining October Friday themed station schedule is as follows:
  • October 18th: Asian Flare – variety of egg rolls, wontons, dumplings, pork fried rice and fortune cookies
  • October 25th: Touch of Greek – featuring hummus, pita chips, stuffed grape leaves and spanakopita

“Our customers gave us some great feedback over the summer,” said Executive Chef Dennis Sammarone.  “We are going to add some new weekly features to our buffet and will expand our featured cocktail menu.”

The Pink cocktail menu is highlighted by the signature cocktails, a variety of mules and margaritas and refreshing mojitos.  A couple sure to be favorites include the spicy mango margarita featuring fresh mango puree, mango vodka with a chili-lime rim; and the aptly named Gentleman Jason S cocktail made with muddled mint leaves and strawberry puree topped with Gentleman Jack.   Pink’s wine and beer menus also received a re-fresh for the fall opening.

All diners in Pink will also be eligible to win a winner’s circle presentation, voucher and paddock tour in the new “Dine.Win.Tour” promotion.  One lucky table will be randomly selected each live race night to receive a night at the races package that includes:
  • $10 win wager on the horse of their choice that night
  • A winner’s circle presentation with a commemorative 8x10 color photograph
  • Tour of the back paddock with the opportunities to grab some selfies with horses and drivers
  • Meadowlands Racetrack swag bag
“We want our customers to know that we are listening to what they want to eat and drink when they come out to our track,” said Jason Settlemoir, COO & GM of Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment.  “These new additions and enhancements to the buffet will hopefully pack a punch and not only keep our loyal customers happy but start to bring in casual diners looking for a night out with great food and a spectacular show on the racetrack!”

On Friday nights the Pink buffet remains $29.95 and $39.95 on Saturdays. Live racing kicks off for the fall season on Friday, October 11th with 7:15pm first post.
