East Rutherford, NJ - Live harness racing is back on Friday
night at The Meadowlands with 11 races on the menu.
The featured second is a conditioned event for trotters where a
field of seven will vie for a purse of $16,000. It's a very even group as
indicated by the tight Dave Brower morning line where Montalbano Bi has been
tabbed as the slight 5-2 choice.
Montalbano Bi has been as regular as clockwork for owner Joel
Kahan and flashing his finest form in the last pair with a win and a second to
show for it. He'll starts from the inside post one for regular driver Jimmy
Marohn, Jr and his trainer, Patti Harmon.
The weekend brings another sign that Spring is nigh as Andrew
McCarthy is back from his winter travels. The popular young Australian
reinsman caught a full slate of drives upon his return over St Patrick's Day
weekend.
