Unexpected, end-of-the-month free money.
With Yonkers Raceway’s Pick 5 wager
going unclaimed both Friday and Saturday nights, Monday’s multi-racer--which
ordinarily offers a $10,000 guaranteed pool—has ceremoniously swelled to
$25,000.
The figures includes a double-carryover
of $9,381 and some change.
The Pick 5 is a 50-cent base wager offered on races
5 through 9 nightly. It has no consolation payoff, meaning if no one selects
all five winners (as was the case Friday/Saturday), the entire pool (minus
takeout) moves to the next racing program.
The Pick 5 regularly offers a $10,000 guaranteed
pool (though it is indeed 25-large this Monday) every Monday and Tuesday (in
conjunction with the US Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering Program),
with program pages for those “guarantee” days available for perusal at www.yonkersraceway.com.
So, do your homework. Excuses shall not be
tolerated.
The Raceway's five-night-per-week live schedule continues, with first post
every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:10 PM. Evening
simulcasting accompanies all live programs, with afternoon simulcasting
available daily.
