ANDY MILLER INJURED IN YONKERS RACEWAY ACCIDENT

BY FRANK DRUCKER, Publicity Director, Empire City @ Yonkers Raceway

YONKERS, NY, Tuesday, April 15, 2014—Driver Andy Miller was injured in a Yonkers Raceway accident Tuesday night.

Miller, driving Marmara Denizi—a 3-year-old gelding co-owned and trained by his brother, Erv—was in the back of the field and unseated during the $10,000, first race pace.

Also unseated was George Brennan, who was driving 13-10 favorite In the Clear.

In the Clear was a tight-pocket second down the backside the second time when looked to slip out and appeared to step on the wheel of a first-up Fiftyshadesofhay (Dan Dube). In the Clear went down, as did Brennan, who did get up and resume his assignments for the evening.

Miller, who did not lose consciousness, was taken to Lawrence Hospital in nearby Bronxville, NY. Updates shall be provided if/when available. None of the horses appeared to be injured.

The race was won by Keystone Dalton (Jason Bartlett, $9.30) in a maiden-breaking 1:59.
