With the forecasted winter storm, Meadowlands Racing &
Entertainment is canceling tonight’s live racing. In an effort to
accommodate those horsemen who entered to race tonight, the entire race card
including the first round of the Super Bowl trotting series will be moved to
Thursday, January 9, there will be no new draw for next Thursday. All
horses will retain their post positions and program numbers. We understand that
due to a minimal amount of racetracks open this time of year our entry box is
often overflowing. We do not want those horsemen scheduled to race their
horses tonight to lose that opportunity. We feel this fair for all
horsemen and this decision was made with the full support of the SBOANJ.
Tomorrow morning’s qualifiers will be moved to Saturday,
January 4th at 10 am.
The Meadowlands and Winners OTW will also end simulcasting
at 6 pm tonight.
Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment is scheduled to
