Closing night at Vernon Downs is set for Saturday (November
3) at 6:10 p.m.
The 12 race card features the “War Horse” race as well
as two “Turn Back the Clock” rewind races.
The “War Horse” race consists of seven pacers 10 years old
and older.
The seven horses have combined for 2104 starts, 296 wins,
293 seconds, 282 thirds, and $3,364,447 in lifetime earnings.
The two “Turn Back the Clock” rewind races will feature one
race with pacers and one race with trotters.
They will run the length of the track (seven-eighths mile)
going clockwise.
Also on that night will be a drawstring bag giveaway (while
supplies last) and a live bugler
The top trainer and top driver of 2018 will be honored as
well as the horse of the year.
Once again the 12 race card on Saturday (November 3) starts
at 6:10 p.m.
