The North America Cup eliminations certainly shook-up the three year old pacing
ranks quite a bit. While McWicked is not Pace eligible, Tellitlikeitis
and Lyonssomewhere, who both won North America Cup Eliminations are Pace
eligible and they vaulted to No. 2 and No. 4 respectively in this week’s Top
10.
However, despite a third place finish, JK Endofanera remains No. 1
this week. “Within reason, everyone gets one mulligan,” said Meadowlands
oddsmaker Darin Zoccali. “I learned my lesson from He’s Watching, who
bounced back from a disastrous Rooney Elimination with a stellar effort at
Mohawk. Jk Endofanera appeared a bit washed out and locked on a line and
I am confident that will be corrected in the Final. I still think he is
the best horse. However, unless a huge longshot wins the North America
Cup, I have to believe whoever wins the rawill be No. 1 next week.”
Tellitlikeitis had been making waves recently and proved the hype was
justifiable with his 1:48.4 win at Mohawk Saturday. The same can be said
for undefeated Lyonssomewhere who vaulted to No. 4 with his Cup elimination
win. Dropping out of the Top 10 this week were Limelight Beach and
Somestar Somewhere who fell to No. 11 and No. 12.
