The
California Harness Horseman’s Association, in partnership with Watch and Wager
LLC, is pleased to offer the following new horse incentive program for the
2013/2014 fall/winter meeting at Cal Expo that gets underway on October 5 and
runs through May 17.
Under
the program, each new horse will receive $1,000 in bonus money upon making its
first start, with a new horse being defined as a trotter or pacer that has not
started at Cal Expo since June 14, 2012.
All
new horses must be approved by the racing office to be eligible for the bonus,
the program is limited to the first 100 approved new horses and they must start
prior to January 15, 2014 to be eligible.
Said
Watch and Wager LLC General Manager Chris Schick, “Last year we paid new horse
incentive money to 175 new horses. We are very pleased to partner once again
with the CHHA to offer this enhanced vital program.”
A
complete list of California Harness Legends late-closing events will be
released next week, with such events as the Alan Kirschenbaum, Stan Bergstein
and Lloyd Arnold Series highlighting that schedule.
Plenty
of stalls are still available with no stall rent. For more information, go to www.calxharness.com
