Branded By Lindy and Cool Papa Bell lead NYSS trotters to Vernon on Friday.

Vernon Downs plays host to two division of the New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for 3-year-old trotting colts & geldings in a special Friday matinee (June 10).

Branded By Lindy (Yannick Gingras) is the even money favorite in the $57,000 first division of the NYSS.  The colt by Chapter Seven will be making his 2022 debut after a terrific freshmen campaign where he won eight times in 11 career starts and amassed over $230,000 in lifetime earnings.  He is owned by Lindy Farms of Conn and trained by Domenico Cecere.  

The Jim Campbell trained Cool Papa Bell (Brian Sears) is the 6-5 morning line favorite in the $57,000 second division.  The Chapter Seven gelding is two for two as a sophomore including a NYSS win at Tioga Downs.  Owned by Runthetable Stables, he has five lifetime victories and has won over $170,000 during his career.

The 11-race card starts at 12:15 p.m.
