Bailey, Huckabone, and Warner each get four winners at Vernon.

Leon Bailey and Justin Huckabone each drove four winners as Kerin Warner trained four winners at Vernon Downs on Friday (August 27).

Bailey takes the featured $5,000 trot with Spoiler Alert ($6.50).

Haveitalltogether (Chris Long) grabbed the early lead.  Cindy Michelle (John Stark) took over the lead just before hitting the first quarter first in :27.2.  Spoiler Alert made his move first-over as they headed for the backstretch.  Spoiler Alert led to the half in :56.3.  As they went around the far turn Haveitalltogether came first-up as Spoiler Alert easily led to three-quarters in 1:25.3.

Spoiler Alert was just cruising as they reached the stretch but started to tire at mid-stretch as Getting Serious came flying.  Spoiler Alert dug in and held on to win in 1:54.4.  Getting Serious was second best as Haveitalltogether finished third.

Spoiler Alert is a 7-year-old gelding by Chapter Seven.  He is owned by Jeffrey Hayes and trained by Misty Carey.  It was his third win this season and the 19th of his career.

Bailey’s other wins came with Lanjo Lee ($2.60), Phoenix ($3.00), and Ladyyouaregorgeous ($9.60).  Huckabone and Warner combined for their four wins.  They won with Fancy Knows ($13.00), Bet Big On Blue ($7.10), In The Cards ($9.50), and Quaker Hill ($10.80).

Vernon Downs returns to live racing on Saturday (August 28) with a 13-race card featuring the $325,000 Zweig Open for 3-year-old trotters as well as $140,000 Zweig Fillies Trot for 3-year-old fillies.
