Disaff Open heads Tuesday Cal Expo program

Watch and Wager LLC will now conduct harness racing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Cal Expo.  

There will be 10-race cards both days this week with a first post of 3:30 p.m. Pacific.

Tuesday's card features a carryover of $54,068 in the 10-cent Single 6, which begins on the fifth race.

There are also two wagers offered with a reduced 16 percent takeout rate - the 20-cent Pick 5 and 20-cent Pick 4 - with a $50,000-guaranteed pool in the Pick 4 on both days.

Tuesday's main event is a $7,200 Filly and Mare Open Pace.

Assigned the outside three posts in that contest are Bertha Vanation with Nick Roland; Alwaysaliitlemore, who will have services of Luke Plano and Velocity Mcsweets with James Kennedy.

Looking ahead to Wednesday's action, there will be a pair of $14,000 California Sire Stakes headed by Prom Queen and Its Pointless, respectively; and a $7,400 Open Trot featuring Mandeville.
