M1 - Tetrick/Campell Triple Up on Another $3 Million Night

The richest driver in harness racing history, John Campbell and the young superstar who has the best shot to break that mark by the end of his career, Tim Tetrick both scored driving triples on the Friday night card at the Meadowlands.  Campbell has seen a recent rejuvenation at the Meadowlands, moving into the top five in the driver standings after tonight and Tetrick is starting to catch fire as well.

The Junior Trendsetter series got underway a week late following last Friday’s cancellation due to the blizzard.  The first division saw Humility, making his first start of his three year old season a winning one for trainer Tony Alagna defeating his stable mate, the heavily favored Wilcox.  The second division featured a popular win by A Bettor World who led from start to finish for Dave Miller.  Round two of the series continues next Friday.

The action at the betting windows was fast and furious once again.  By night’s end the bettors sent $3,218,851 through the windows.  That total handle marked an increase of 32% from this same Friday in 2012.  In addition, the live handle also showed an increase of 20% from this day in 2012.  Racing returns on Saturday featuring the second round of The Exit 16W Series with first post time at 7:15 P.M.
