YR - $1.8 MILLION NEW YORK NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS INCLUDES GIVEAWAYS

YONKERS NY, Thursday, September 20, 2012--When Yonkers Raceway hosts Saturday's $1.8 million New York Night of Champions, it's not just the participants who get the goodies.

The evening, which features eight, $225,000 sire stakes finals--for 2- and 3-year-old of both sexes and gaits--is spiced up by a pair of giveaways.

Racing fans can take home the ever-popular T-shirt (gold, for the fashion-conscious), along with a racing-themed plate, both available while supplies last.

The richest night of racing in the state returns to Westchester, with the NYSS finals going as races 2 through 9 as part of Yonkers Raceway's 13-race card. First post is the customary 7:10 PM.

The 23rd edition of the Night of Champions again has each of the races sponsored by a prominent Empire breeding farm or ownership group. In order...

            3rd race--Morrisville College Equine Institute 2-Year-Old Filly Trot;

            4th race--Winbak Farm 2-Year-Old Filly Pace;

            5th race--Cameo Hills Farm 3-Year-Old Filly Pace;

            6th race--Kenneth J Syndicate LLC 2-Year-Old Colt & Gelding Pace;

            7th race--Stirling Brook Farms 3-Year-Old Filly Trot;

            8th race--Allerage Farm 3-Year-Old Colt & Gelding Trot;

            9th race--Blue Chip Farms 3-Year-Old Colt & Gelding Pace.

 
The Raceway continues its normal five-night-per-week live schedule, with first post every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:10 PM. Evening simulcasting accompanies all live programs, with afternoon simulcasting available around the NYRA schedule.
