Spoiler Alert ($12.20) led them to a first quarter in :27.4. Foundonabeach (John MacDonald) then took over before the hitting the half in :56.3 and hit the three-quarter mark in 1:25.2. Spoiler Alert came out of the pocket to win in 1:55.1. Walk The Floor (Claude Huckabone III) came up late to finish second. Sweet Ashley T (Howard Okusko Jr.) was third best.
Spoiler Alert is a 4-year-old gelding by Chapter Seven. He is owned by Jeffrey Hayes and trained by Misty Carey. It was win number seven for the season as well as his career.
Adam Cappizano, John MacDonald and Ben McNeil all had driving doubles on the night.
Cappizano won with Haloman ($14.60) and Pudge's Pastime ($21.00). MacDonald got his wins with If I Must ($2.20) and Drea's Good Powow ($16.40). McNeil reached the winner's circle with Cascata ($39.60) and Some Royalty ($5.50).
Vernon Downs returns to live racing on Saturday (July 21) with a 11 race card starting at 6:10 p.m.
