One Hand Keg Stand (Jeff Long) charges late to capture Fillies & Mares Open 4 ($6,800) at Tioga Downs Friday (7-27-18).
Juice Hanover (Matt Romano) led, hitting the first quarter in :27.1. SInspirational (Aaron Byron) then took over hitting the half in :56.3. It was then Gold Star Aurora taking them to three-quarters in 1:25.0. She looked like the winner at the top of the stretch.
One Hand Keg Stand ($15.00) was ninth at the halfway point and seventh at the three-quarter mark. Owned by Robert Fleming and trainer Timothy Miller Jr, she looked like a rocket ship in the stretch flying by them all in 1:55.1. Goldstar Rockette (Corey Braden) also fired late to finish second. Juice Hanover was third best.
One Hand Keg Stand is a 4-year-old mare by Lislea. It was her fifth win this season and career victory number nine.
Outsidecourt (Jim Taggart Jr.) is upset winner in top trot race
($6,800).
Vicki All (Mickey Mc Nichol) controlled all the early fractions
(:28.1, :58.1, 1:27.2).
Outsidecourt ($55.00) was fifth after three-quarters. Owned
by P&J Stables and trained by Gary Messenger, she went three wide battling
Barn Star (Jim Meittnis) and Vicki All from mid-stretch. She lunged at
the finish line to win by a head in 1:56.4. Barn Star managed to finish
second with Vicki All settling for third.
Outside Court is a 5-year-old mare by Conway Court. It was
her second win this season and career victory number 17.
Barrys Gift (Aaron Byron) won her fourth straight at Tioga
Downs. The 5-year-old mare by Northern Kid is trained by Tony Dinges for
owner Exceed Stables. She had now wins until this year, she is four for
four this season.
No live racing on Saturday (July 28) due to Wynonna and The Big Noise concert. Live racing returns to Tioga Downs with a 13 race card featuring three divisions of the New York Sire Stakes on Sunday (July 29) at 1 p.m.
