The two special races on the card have been
dubbed the ‘Old’ Lang Syne Trot and
‘Old’ Lang Syne Pace and the oldest eight horses entered in each of the
respective races will be accepted.
Last year’s inaugural edition went to
12-year-old pacer Casimirbadmoonrisn and 10-year-old trotter Lucky George.
In addition to the New Year’s program, The
Raceway will also host live racing on Boxing Day (December 26) at a special
afternoon start time of 1:15 p.m.
Boxing Day is annually one of the busiest
at The Raceway and lots has been planned this year, including Brunch at the Top
Of The Fair for $23.99, breakfast style buffet in the new Annex Lounge for just
$9.99 and Roast Beef On A Bun in the Carousel Room for only $7.99.In addition, patrons will receive a commemorative Western Fair District 2013 calendar with program purchase (while supplies last) and have two chances to play Deal Or No Deal (each valued at $100). There will also be draws for Boxing Day gifts throughout the afternoon.
