YONKERS,
NY, Tuesday, October 30, 2012--Eight 3-year-olds--seven colts and a
gelding---have been entered for Yonkers Raceway's Messenger Stakes, final jewel
of the Pacing Triple Crown.
The 57th edition of the Messenger, worth $415,820, goes as a
one-dash-for-the-cash event a week from Saturday night (Nov. 10). The entrants,
alphabetically with declared drivers, are...A Rocknroll Dance (Dave Miller),
Bolt the Duer (Mark MacDonald), Domethatagain (Brent Holland), Hillbilly
Hanover (Morrill Jr. also listed),
Lawgiver
Hanover (Eric Goodell), Major Bombay (Andy Miller), Pet Rock (George Brennan)
and Steelhead Hanover (Driver TBA).
Hillbilly Hanover is the lone gelding.
The stakes companion event, the $229,440 Lady Maud Pace for 3-year-old fillies,
attracted seven entrants, making it, too, a Nov. 10 one-dash-for-the-coin
event.
