YONKERS, NY, Monday, April 30,
2018—Yonkers Raceway has announced an across-the-board purse increase,
effective with the upcoming condition sheet for the race week beginning next
Monday, May 7th.
The increases range from 10-20 percent,
depending upon the purse of the race. Races going for less than $15,000 shall
get the higher hike (moving the lowest purse from $7,500 to $9,000), while any
race worth $15,000 or more gets a 10 percent rise. Thus, the weekly Open
Handicaps move from $40,000 to $44,000.
