East Rutherford, NJ - With virtually all other racetracks in the
Northeast out of action, The Meadowlands will see an unusually deep entry box
over the next few weeks as evidenced by the ten overflow fields on the Thursday
night card. Though the Thursday program was originally slated to consist of
nine races, the number of horses entered and the lack of options for them to
get raced resulted in the addition of a tenth race with a big box expected for
the weekend.
Featured on Thursday is the $12,500 final of the Starter Allowance
"Race for the G-Notes" for pacers as race six. Espirit De Kayjay A
shows nothing but wins in his past performance and will be the heavy favorite
to sweep the series from post five for driver Andy Miller. The competition is
led by May I Cruise West (PP #9 Brett Miller) and Walks Of Life (PP #3 Eric
Abbatiello) who each took a preliminary leg as well.
The wagering attractions on Thursday are the Survivor Pick 10 with
the guaranteed $10,000 pool and the last race Super Hi-5 Jackpot carry-over
pool continues to build and is now at $43,831. Get an early start on the
