Beginning Sunday, December 15 and continuing for through
Friday, December 20 Monticello Raceway will offer six consecutive live racing
programs during that week.
The Sunday date was added to coincide with the fifth annual
Children’s Fantasy Holiday Party, an endeavor spearheaded by the Monticello
Harness Horsemen’s Association four years ago which has been tremendously well
received by the local communities.
Friday, December 20 is also an added live racing program to
go along with the usual Monday through Thursday format that week.
“With the six consecutive programs there’ll be plenty of
racing opportunities during mid December and we’ll probably be
needing horses to fill those cards,” noted Eric Warner, the tracks director of
racing.
After the December 20 program live racing will be on Monday,
December 23, Thursday, December 26 and Friday, December 27. The final two live
programs of the 2013 season will be on Monday, December 30 and Tuesday,
December 31.
There will be no live racing on Christmas Eve Day nor
Christmas Day.
The final of the year long Heritage Drivers Series—the
All-America Cup- is slated for Thursday, December 19 and the Au Revoir, for 14
year olds only, is slated for Monday, December 30.
All post times will be at 12:25pm.
