YONKERS,
NY, Tuesday, March 5, 2013--The terms "George Brennan" and "45-1"
are more often than not mutually exclusive, but they were "mutuelly
inclusive" Tuesday night.
Brennan, Yonkers Raceway's defending driving champ, and Terry's Star Dragon
rallied from next-to-last at the three-quarter pole, winning the $10,000,
third-race pace by a head in 1:55. It was the second win in five seasonal
starts for "Terry," who went over $400,000 in career earnings.
Terry's Star Dragon, an 8-year-old Sweet Dragon gelding, is owned by Racing
Team of America and trained by Newton (Yogi) Sheridan. The $92 win price was
the linchpin of a $750 exacta, $5,499 triple and $29,562 superfecta (base $2
payout).
The Raceway continues its normal five-night-per-week live schedule, with first
post every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:10 PM. Evening
simulcasting accompanies all live programs, with afternoon simulcasting
available around the NYRA schedule.
