YONKERS,
NY, Friday, February 8, 2013—With winter weather paying a visit to the greater
New York area, Yonkers Raceway shall make a decision regarding the status of
Saturday (Feb. 9) live racing (and evening simulcasting) Saturday morning.
All racing-related activities were previous cancelled for today (Friday, Feb.
8).
Aqueduct having already cancelled its Saturday program, Yonkers is not open for
Saturday afternoon simulcasting. The Big A (and afternoon simulcasting) is
scheduled to resume Sunday (Feb. 10),
Horsemen are reminded that a Yonkers double-draw for next Thursday/Friday (Feb.
14 & 15) takes place Monday (Feb. 11). Entry box for both days closes at 4
PM.
Also note that Empire City casino has altered its hours to close this (Friday)
evening at 8 PM, and re-open Saturday at 12 Noon. Further updates provided
if/when available.
