2020, Monticello NY – On a cold muddy day at the famed Catskill Mountain
oval Jim Taggart had a hot hand and drove 4 winners on the afternoon
card. Gary Messenger enjoyed a training triple, Michael Merton and
Mcgwire Sowers each both enjoyed a driving double on the afternoon.
Taggart’s 4
bagger started in the second race with Holiday Hanover (PP6) a 3 length winner
in 2:00 and returned a paltry $2.20 to win, next up was Roll With Joy (PP1) a 2
length winner in 1:59 - $4.90. Topville Olivia scored a wire to wire win
in 1:58.2 for trainer Monica Eriksen. The final win of the day came in
race 8 with Askmelater Hanover a five length winner in 2:00.3 - $2.40.
