Tioga Downs welcomes two
divisions of the New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for 2-year-old pacing fillies on
Sunday (July 19).
Albergita Hanover (Roll With
Joe-Ambro Amoretto) appears to be the one to beat in the ($49,500) first
division. Trained by Linda Toscano, and driven by Scott Zeron, she
finished second in her career debut in a NYSS race at Vernon Downs on July
fourth.
Rightfully Mine (American
Ideal-Leah) should be stiff competition. She finished third in her first
career start also during a leg of the NYSS at Vernon Downs. She is
driven by Jason Bartlett for trainer Monique Cohen.
The $50,400 second division
features Easy To Please (Jim Morrill Jr.) and Test of Faith (Jim Marohn
Jr.). Both are coming off NYSS wins at Vernon Downs.
Easy To Please (Roll With
Joe-Lorrie Please) is trained by Michael Hall. She comes in two for two
in her young career.
The Brett Pelling trained Test Of
Faith (Art Major-Cannae Cammie) put in an impressive gate-to-wire win in
1:52.2. Her second career start will be on Sunday.
Tioga Downs will host the 11 race
